Thursday Spent

Whew!! All the doctor appointments, tests, etc. are over. My doctor gave me a new med to help me sleep and boy does it work. I'm only going to take it for a few days to try and break the cycle of never being able to sleep for more than a couple of hours at one time. It is amazing what a solid night of sleep will do for one. I'd forgotten how it felt. I have a couple of small issues but nothing big. All the important stuff is doing what it should be doing. Remember, I'm a tough ole gal. . . I'm also a very blessed.

I really don't have much to blog about. My whole week has been a mish-mash of medical appointments and not much else. I have a play date tomorrow with the two oldest grandsons and I can hardly wait. While they are here we are going to plan their next sleep-over. I want to spend all the time I can with them because it won't be long before they will have too much to do - sports, friends, etc. - to want to just be Nana's little men. How sad for me. I have the new grandson, though, and look forward to doing the same things with him.

I think I'll close for now and watch the NASCAR Cup qualifying with Harry. He looks sorta lonesome in front of the TV with his empty cake plate and empty glass. Did you know that not only is a green car tabu on the race track but also a $50 bill is bad luck? News to me but what do I know.

Everyone take care and have a peaceful night.
Until later.

My Dad would NEVER ever own a green car because of that very reason. He was Red Byron's mechanic back in the late 1940's--when Red won the Grand National in Daytona Beach. This was the beginning of NASCAR. As far as the $50 bill goes, I don't have a clue, because we were so poor from doctor bills my brother and I created as very young children, I doubt very seriously if Daddy ever had a $50 bill on him. You know, we never knew or thought we were poor. Those were happy days to me.

There's nothing like a good night's sleep. I've suffered from insomnia or broken sleep for years, and it's terrible. Thankfully...I've been fine for the last few. I'm very thankful.

I'll talk to you this weekend!

Yes, I knew about the green car rule. But like you, I have never heard the $50 rule. The things we can learn on this blog....funny, I have always hated fifties too, mostly because they are not an even number...LOL.

I must thank you for all the wonderful words of encouragment and understanding that you have given me in these past weeks. Friends like you do NOT come along every day, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you, and your wisdom.

Have a very happy day today, will you be having a big clan for the 600?

Hugs. :)
