The Day Before Tomorrow

At last it's the day before tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day I finally go to surgery. It seems - to me at least - that it has been a long time getting here. In truth my medical team has moved very fast. For that I'm thankful.

I'm tired beyond belief but I'm not in pain and I'm not depressed. I see no reason to 'awfulize' (a term I picked up from someone I used to work with) this situation. It will pass.

I asked Harry to please post for me following surgery. He decided he'd like to make his blog a comment to my post because he already knows how to do that. So, for the folks that follow my blog: You should see a comment to this post sometime tomorrow evening.

I probably won't post again until after my adventure into surgery but I will be back. I just bet that I'll have stories to tell!

You know you'll be in my thoughts and prayers....

Dear God, please hold my friend Mary in your loving arms and give her peace as she prepares to go to surgery. Bless her with a successful procedure, skilled physicians and a speedy, pain free recovery so she can return to her happy life, enjoying her family and being a good friend to all of us who care for her so much in the blog world. Hold her close and help her to know she is so very loved and cared for.

Amen.

Hugs to you my friend....

Thank you one and all. How could I not do well with so many wonderful friends praying for me.

It's almost 9 p.m. and I've had my "happy night pill" Will be up around 5 a.m. Harry will take to hosp and kids will meet us there.

Once again, thanks for all the love and well wishes you have sent to me. It's made this journey so much easier.

Mary, why did I think the PET scan was rescheduled for today? I didn't realize till I read this that your surgery is in the morning. You've gone to bed by now and don't know that I'm here. Or maybe you do. Harry, please tell Mary Ruth I'm thinking and praying and waiting, waiting, waiting, OK? I'm praying for the best possible news and for strength and courage for you and for your family. Mary Ruth is important to so many people.
