I really don't know what happened last evening but it seemed to me that busy was the word of the evening. I was late preparing dinner (chicken pot pie) - everything seemed to be late the whole day. Could it be because I slept until 9 o'clock? I don't think so because I do that sometimes anyway. Whatever. Today seems more normal.
I've decided that I need to declare a hobby. Harry is busy with his two little companies plus coral sales and I need something to do that keeps me occupied. Don't suggest spring cleaning. I retired from one job and I'm retiring from that one, too. What I really need is something to do for the two or three hours after dinner and before bedtime. The TV is always on but I seem to have lost interest in most programming except for Lost. I know, I'll make an afghan. I've done it before - I can do it again. Which brings to mind "The Blizzard Blanket" That's a story I'll tell you all sometime later. I'd like to take it out of storage and have a picture to go with the story.
This is the day that I need to do some major damage at the grocery store/s. I really don't mind going to grocery shop, going through checkout, and loading the stuff. I hate unloading at home and putting everything away. I'm thankful, though, that we have plenty of stuff to put away. Tomorrow is play-day and I look forward to that. The boys are growing up fast and before long play-days with Nana will be boring. I'm making the most of these days.
I've rambled about nothing. Time to take a deep breath, put on my big girl britches, and get on with this day. Hope all my blog buddies have a good day. Until later.

Making an afghan sounds nice. Will you knit or crochet it?
I enjoy food shopping - even the putting it all away part. It gives me a good feeling having all the shelves full. :-)
Happy Thursday!
By the time I get home with all the groceries, cleaning products, and paper products I tired. Then comes the putting away just when I want to sit down and rest. After everything is stored and shelves are filled I always say a little prayer of "thank you" Not everyone is as blessed as I.
I think I'll crochet this one. I've done both but it's been many years. The last one was completed in January of l978. This one will be an almost new experience.
I have been an afghan maker in the past too, Mary. I once made one for my little sister's wedding gift that was completed just in time for their 5th anniversary! LOL I discovered that working with only one color of yarn (per her request) got very boring and the project often ended up shelved for months at a time. I love to do counted cross-stitch and have DMC Embroidery floss in every color they make! It's been a few years now since I've felt peaceful enough to spend my evenings quietly stitching in the company of someone I love, and oh how I am looking forward to that in the months to come! :-)
i can't knit or crochet a stitch.. but ya wanna funny visual? i can cross-stitch! :))
fishin soul.. cross stitchin like a granny.... i started when i was pregnant with soulkid :))

I admire people who can make things, be it knitting or crocheting or quilting...i wish i could do it. What colours will you use?
I love to grocery shop..i enjoy the process of it...especially getting it home and putting it away..i'm an organizer at heart.
Are you enjoying Lost? I don't watch it but Tim does.
jaMie, Color for afghan, I believe pastels. Haven't been to yarn shop yet so decision not made. Using older yarn to practice stitches - it's been a long time since I did this. I enjoy Lost because it's complicated and not written strictly by a formula.
